Visitor's Policy and Volunteering

Visitor Policy

ALL CAMPUS VISITORS MUST:

  • Sign in at the office. Do not go directly to the classroom upon entering the campus.
  • Request and complete a visitor's permit and obtain the principal/designee approval before proceeding to the classroom. (Be prepared to show identification)
  • If you intend to observe in your child's classroom, prior approval and notification will be required of both the teacher and administrator.
  • You must wear the yellow visitor's permit at all times on campus. This will create a safe school environment for our students.
  • Return the visitor's permit to the school office and sign out before leaving the campus.

SOME IMPORTANT RULES FOR VISITORS:

  • Enter and leave the classroom as quietly as possible.
  • Do not converse with the students, teacher, and/or instructional aides during the visitation. This is not the appropriate time for conferencing with students or staff. If needed, you are welcome to make an appointment with the teacher.
  • Please do not interfere with any school activity during the visitations.

CLASSROOM OBSERVATION POLICY

We wish to extend an open invitation to observe in your child’s classroom during the school year.  This is not a time for teacher conference.  This is an opportunity to observe your child’s learning.  A visitor’s Permit must be obtained from the office.  Parents may visit the classroom for 20 minutes at a time.

Becomming a volunteer:
-Submit a copy of TB results to the school
Status of application can be tracked on the volunteerapp and from the lausd parent portal app 
*All volunteers must be cleared before being able to volunteer, including volunteers who work for the school district
